BOXING FIASCO

CONTEST LASTS ONE ROUND SYDNEY. May 12. The American light-heavy-weight boxer, Ray Actis (11.11), who was making his debut at the Sports Ground to-night in a 12-round bout against the Australian champion, Ron Richards (12.0), lasted barely one round. Richards sent in a left and a right, followed by an uppercut, and the American went down for the full count in the first round. The contest was thus a complete fiasco.
