WILSON’S CEMENT FINAL DIVIDEND OF 4£D AN UNCHANGED DISTRIBUTION The directors of Wilson’s (N.Z.) Portland Cement Limited have declared a final dividend of 4Jd a share, making 9d for the year, or equal to 7j per .cent. Last year 15 per cent, was paid on the £1 shares, but after the close of the last accounts the capital was increased by the issue of 300,000 shares of 10s each to shareholders as fully paid in the proportion of one for one. The shares now bear a nominal value of 10s, compared with £1 when the 15 per cent, distribution was made. NORTHERN INVESTMENT SLIGHT RISE IN PROFITS A ; -net profit of £2,334, compared with £2,309 in the previous year and £1,681 in' 1936, is shown in the accounts of the /Northern Co-operative Investment Trust: Limited for the year ended March 31., The dividend for the year is being maintained at 7 per cent, on ordinary shades. Revenue for the year amounted to £4.367. against £4,501. Total assets at £50,457 have increased by £7,279. Paid capital is £28,161, against £28,034, and / reserves total £3,240, compared with £2,801 last year. HIGHER DISTRIBUTION SECOND TRUST’S RESULTS. An. increase in net profits to £853, compared with £423 earned during the first 10 months of the company’s operations, is shown in the second • annual accounts of : the . Second Northern Investment Trust Limited. The dividend for the year is 6 per cent., as against 5 per cent.. in 1936-37. The directors state.'that applications for shares came in steadily during, the year, and the increase in capital, £7.240 to £17j240, is considered very satisfactory. Paid capital .now stands at £16,017, against £8,728. Revenue for the year amounted to £1.918, against £854. Total assets are £32,792. compared with £13,526.
