Arising out of divorce proceeding! undertaken by Anthony George rey against his wife, Coral Pearl Bou rey.on the grounds of adultery in.the Supreme , Court,. Christchurch, oq August 27, 1937, Bouterey stood in dock this morning and faced two chargse o)J suborning to perjury. Bouterey pleaded not guilty. : . y. The Crown Prosecutor (Mr A. Wia . Brown) said Bouterey was with procuring or persuading two Douglas Wilfiam Dyer and Cyril Wil* fred Stanley,' to give false evidence ill the courts The jury’s task would be tfll decide whether the two men gave falsa evidence, and, if so, whether they did if at Bouterey’s instigation. The evij dence would bo that Bouterey concoctecl a story with Dyer and Stanley to thf effect that they attended parties aboarq the launch Phyllis at Napier, where oq three occasions they saw Mrs Bouterej commit adultery. Later Dyer went tq the police and said he had never beeq in Napier in his life and had never seeq what he had described in court. Inter* viewed by the police, Stanley made similar admissions. <.
