May 10 (Received May 11, at 2 p.m.) A shot fired near King Carol durir.g an Independence Day demonstration caused rumours of attempetd assassination to spread. Inquiries showed that the shot was due to a plain-clothes policeman’s revolver being accidentally discharged when the man was jostled.
