BOXING
TWO PROFESSIONAL CONTESTS The Otago Boxing Association has arranged two professional contests for Monday night at the Town Hall, and in view of Clarrie Marshall’s showing at Auckland last Monday night, his 12-round contest with Stan Jenkin is attracting much interest. In his amateur and professional career Marshall has beaten some of the best men of his weight in the Dominion, and should provide Jenkin with a hard contest. Among Marshall’s victims have been George M’Kay, F. MTvor, R. Reid (now meeting with success in Australia), and George Low (who won the New Zealand amateur middle-weight title in 1935). The main bout will be E receded by a 10-round professional out between Lex Greaney, of Dunedin, and “ Tiger ” Mitchell, of Christchurch, and there will also be a fourround amateur preliminary between Neil Leckie (Dunedin) and B. Newton (Oamaru).
