VERDICT OF ACCIDENTAL BUSHING

A verdfet that death was due to accidental burning caused by the dwelling in which he and his parents were living being, destroyed by tite was returned by the district coroner .(Mr E. Jolly) at the inquest on Saturday on the body of John Thomas Parsohs, the boy; two years and 11 months old, who was burned to death on Friday iu a hut in a public works camp at Cromwell. The blaze occurred when Mr A. J. Parsons, the boy’s father, was pouring some petrol into a tin and the fumes 'were ignited by a hurricane lamp nearby. - . After evidence had. been given coni cerning the tragedy the coroner suggested that- representations should be made to the Public Works Department that some other means of entrance should be provided in camp huts, as m this case the one door proved to be ft death trap.
