FORBURY PARK TROTS

WINTER MEETING With the appearance of visiting horses interest has increased ‘in the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s Meeting, the'first day of which will be on Thursday next. The results' at the Oamaru Trotting Club’s Meeting on Saturday will have a bearing on this fixture, and four winners in Carver Doone, Doubt, Sagamore, and Vologda will lend a lot of interest. The track, with the assistance of sunshine and wind, has hardly been affected by the recent rains, and is at present in excellent order.. Except in two instances the fields run to a good length, and the contests promise to hold interest from start to finish. The,first race will start at 11.45 and the last at 3.55. Running direct to the gates will be an excellent tram and bus service, and tickets for either ladies or men will as usual be obtainable at any window.
