GREEN ISLAND CLUB. , The above club held its race over a 20-mile course. Seventeen lined up for the start, and a good race resulted as follows:—W. O’Neill 1, E. Brown 2, P. Marsh 3. Fastest time; A. Woodford (37min 4sec); second fastest, J. Woodford! (37min 37sec). The winner of the Beginners’ Cup was O. Gardiner. Next Saturday’s race is from Green Island to Bruce’s Rock and return. DUNEDIN AMATEURS. The Dunedin Amateur Cycling Club held its opening run, when about 30 riders and supporters had a slow ride to Company's Bay and return. When the Bay was reached several novelty cycling events were run off under the leadership of Club captain J. Henry. W. Chalmers won tno slow race, N. M’Donald won the acceleration test, while C. Webb won tho junior cross-country, and K. Denton won the senior event. A pleasant time was had by all.
