[From Ouk Balcll'tha Correspondent.] GOLF. Balclutha Club played a bogey match on Saturday. Results: A grade—L. Scott 1 up, D. M. Prengley all square, T M. Thompson 1 down; B grade—L. J. Edwards 2 down, S. Mathewson 4 down. HOCKEY. In a friendly match played at Balclutha on Saturday the Owaka team defeated the Baclutha team by 1 goal to 0, Miss Sheddan scoring for the winners. SOUTH OTAGO FREEZING WORKS. The South Otago Freezing Works have been experiencing a busy time. Last week the tally was 16,784 sheep and lambs. CRICKET SOCIAL. On Saturday night the members of the South Otago Cricket Club held a most enjoyable social in the Dalton Hall. Mr C. Garside presided over a representative attendance. A very happy time was spent. Mr J. Hall proposed the toast of the Freezer Club, and this was accorded musical honours. Several other toasts were proposed, and the gathering concluded jvith ‘ Auld Lang Syne.’-
