MILK SUPPLY.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —“ Boil-’era-Up’s ” letter was very interesting. One wonders, if these statements be true, what inspectors have been doing, and if “ Boil-’em-Up ” knew such things existed and knew them to bo true, why in the name of humanity, and for the sake of the health of children and the community at large did ho not see into the matter and have it rectified? But to be content to think that the mixing of milk and pasteurising could end the matter and make it safe is more than criminal. All the more reason for my previous statement, that the first place to make milk safe for human consumption is the health of the cow and state of those cow yards and bails. I trust, seeing that men know these things exist and do not rectify them, that the people of Dunedin, especially the women, will see to it on election day and return the women who will. —— I am, etc., May 9. Gertrude Brooks.
