' All the main pavilions at the Empire Exhibition, Glasgow, - are now practically finished and workmen are engaged night and day to ensure that when the Xing and Queen visit Bellahouston Park for the opening ceremony on May 3 they will see the completed exhibition. Exhibits are already being arranged in some of the main pavilions, and notably so in the palaces of engineering t and two pavilions of industry. Good progress is being made with the dominion pavilions, where the mural decorations will be illustrative of the countries whose exhibits are shown. The Tower of Empire, which is a commanding feature of the exhibition grounds, has been completed; and lifts installed, and the amusement park will be ready for the earliest visitors. (Received April ■ 21, at 11 a.m.) In connection with the Empire Exhibition at Glasgow, the railway companies have planned special arrangements for dealing with visitors. fn addition to augmented express services from London, providing 22 departures in each 24 hours, over 2,500 special trains will be run for excursionists and organised parties, estimated to aggregate over 1,000,000 passengers.
