STRAY DOGS.
TO Til h EDITOR. Sir, —I wish to draw the attention of the public to the disgusting practice of permitting stray dogs to roam about our fair city. When not endangering the lives of people by polluting vegetables, bathing waters, beaches, etc., these nuisances seem to devote their time to motorists, many of whom have
had miraculous escapes from calamity when avoiding stray dogs. Much has been said about dog poisoning, but there is another view, and that is, if a dog has a home it should he there, or on the end of a leash. The health of the population should not ' be jeopardised by the carelessness of the few, and it is high time that the health and traffic authorities did something.—l am, etc., February 23, Anti-Nuisance.
