MARKED DECLINE ON JANUARY AUCTION [Per United Press Association.}. WANGANUI, February 25. Prices generally at to-day’s second Wanganui wool sale of the season were fully firm on realisations at Napier earlier in the week, but showed a marked decline when compared with, the January sale. A catalogue of more than 20,000 bales was offered to a fult bench of buyers, and over 80 per cent.: was disposed of under the hammer* Competition was more spread than at the first sale. Continental buyers were the principal operators, but _ Bradford operated freely on some lines, and France was the chief buyers of lambs*, wool. Japan was not in the market. The following is the range oj prices:— Fine half-bred, 58, 56/58, 56 Super., 12£d to 14d. Average, 10-Jd to Hid. Medium half-bred, 50/56, 50Average, lOd to IOJd. Inferior, 8d to 9id. DUNLOP PERDRIAU RUBBER INTERIM DIVIDENDS INCREASE IN ORDINARY DISTRIBUTION The Dunlop Perdriau Rubber Cora* pany advises that the directors have recommended an interim dividend of 5 pep .cent, on the preference shares and 3J per cent, on the ordinary issue. Last year the company paid an interim ordinary dividend'of 3 per cent., a final of 4 per cent, making 7 per cent, for the year. The preference distribution remains unchanged.
