CALEDONIAN GAMES
TO-MORROW’S PROGRAMME All arrangements have been made in connection with the annual games which will be held on the Caledonian Ground to-morrow. The programme will be commenced with the primary schools’ events at 10.30, and the last item is set down for 4.3 o—six hours of sport. The business interbouse and combined displays will be commenced at 3. These events are for both women and men, and well over 100 competitors will take part in the march past. Throughout the afternoon there will be displays by the Y.M.C.A., the Kaikorai Band, and the combined pipe bands (Dunedin and M'Glashan). There are numerous events for women, including hurdles, running, relay and sack races. Three old games will be revived—quoiting, tossing the caber, and throwing the 161 b shot. Large entries have been received for the amateur events under the jurisdiction of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. These events are 100yds, 440yds, 880yds, one mile, 440yds hurdles, one mile walk, and a women’s race of 7oyds. Competitors may obtain their tickets of admission at the secretary’s office up till 10 o’clock this evening. The programme of the sports will be on sale in the streets to-day.
