HOMEWARD LOADINGS.

Fifteen ships to load Homeward at Dominion ports in March and April were allotted at Wellington at the weekend as follows: —

Tho Federal steamer Northumberland began at Now Plymouth on Monday, and will continue at Lyttelton, Gisborne, Auckland, March 2 to 7, Napier, Wanganui, and Wellington, sailing on March 21 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester, and Glasgow. The Federal steamer Cambridge will begin at Timaru on March 7 and continue at Wanganui, New Plymouth, Auckland, March 18 to 21, Wellington and Port Chalmers, sailing finally on April 1 for London, Avonmouth, Cardiff. Liverpool, and Glasgow. The Federal steamer Middlesex, in ballast from Glasgow, will reach Opua on March 21, and will leave the following day for Napier, continuing at Wellington and Auckland, arriving on April 6 and sailing on April 12 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester, and Glasgow. The New' Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Raugitata will begin at Bluff on March 24 and continue at Lyttelton and Wellington, sailing on April 7 for London via Panama. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Piako will begin at Opua on March 14 and sail on March 16 for Tokomaru Bay, Napier, Wanganui, and Wellington. She will clear Wellington finally on April 6 for Santos, Rio de Janiero, Southampton, Dunkirk, and London. The Blue Star motor ship Brisbane Star will begin at Dunedin on March 31 and continue at Bluff, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland, arriving on April 19 and sailing on April 26 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow. The Port Line motor ship Port Alma will begin at Nelson on March 11 and continue at Wellington, Timaru, and Bluff, sailing on March 30 for London. The Port Line motor ship Port Chalmers will begin at Nelson 1 ' on March 30 and continue at Auckland (April 5 to 9), Wellington,, and Napier, sailing on April 23 for London and Hamburg. The Port Line steamer Port Melbourne, to Shaw, Savill and Albion agency, began to-day at New Plymouth, and continue at Picton, Opua (March 5 to 8), Auckland (March 9 to 12), Napier, and Wellington. She will sail on March 21 for London.

The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tainui will begin at Dunedin on March 11 and continue at Lyttelton, Auckland (March 18 to 23), and Wellington, sailing on March 30 for Southampton and London via Panama and Kingston. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mahana will begin at Napier on March 14 and continue at Waikokopu, Nelson, New Plymouth, Wellington, and Auckland, arriving on April 2 and sailing on April 7 for Dunkirk, Hook of Holland, and London. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa, from Glasgow in ballast, will begin at Oamaru on March 23 and continue at Bluff, Lyttelton, Wanganui, and Wellington, sailing on April 12 for Halifax and London via Panama. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mamavi, from Glasgow in ballast, will begin at Bluff on April 1 and continue at Port Chalmers, New Plymouth, and Auckland, arriving on April 14 and sailing on April 20 for London via Panama. The Shaw Savill and Albion liner Tamaroa will begin at Timaru on April 6 and continue at Lyttelton and Wellington, sailing on April 22 for Southampton and London via Panama.

INTERISLAND EXPRESS. The interisland express steamer Wahine arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.40 this morning. Passengers and mails for the south connected with the express. GOSLAR’S PROGRAMME. The German steamer Goslar is now expected to leave Port Chalmers on Sunday for Napier direct. She is to complete loading at Wellington, and should sail finally about March 14 for New York and Continental ports. HERTFORD CLEARS CURACAO. Outward hound, the Federal steamer Hertford, which left Liverpool on February 5, is reported by cable to have cleared Curacao last Saturday afternoon. She is due at Auckland on March 17, and at Wellington on March 24, completing discharge at Lyttelton and Dunedin. MELBOURNE MARU COMING. The O.S.K. motor ship Melbourne Maru is reported by cable to have left Kobe on February 15 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin via Rnbauf and Noumea. She is expected at Audkland on March 7.

NEW CARGO SHIP. IMPROVED WAIWERA TYPE. The construction on the Tyne of the 27,000-ton passenger and cargo liner Dominion Monarch for the Shaw, Savill and Albion Line has somewhat obscured the fact that the company' has also in building a motor ship of 11,000 tons, described as an improved Waiwera type. The vessel, being built by Harland and Wolff Limited, at Belfast, has been specially designed for the carriage of refrigerated produce, and will also be able to carry more than 1,000 tons of chilled beef. Accommodation will be provided for 12 passengers. The ship will be generally similar to the Waiwera, the Waipawa, and the Wairangi, but will be faster, having the high speed for a cargo ship of 18 knots. The line has at present seyen motor' ships, all with accommodation for 12 passengers, in addition to the Waiwera, Waipawa. and Wairangi, there are the Coptic, Kararnea, Taranaki, and Zealandic.
