LONDON, Fob, 24.—A VickersWellcsley plane, which was practising for the long-distance record to Australia, is missing. The personnel comprises an Australian (Flight-lieutenant Gardner), Flying Officer G. J. Thomson, and Sergeant Hicks. The plane was last seen off Rothbury (Northumberland). VICTORY FOR KING CAROL. BUCHAREST, Feb. 24.—The latest figures show that only a trilling number of votes were cast against King Carol -in the plebiscite, in which 80 per cent, of the electorate polled.
