•—Ministerial.—* “ The Prime Minister’s indisposition was just one of those things that may, beset us all,” said Mr J. A. Lee, M.P., in an address to his constituents last night at Auckland. , “He is in goodfettle and he will he on hand when the fight is solid.” The meeting passed a resolution expressing gratitude ,for the recovery of Mr Savage. Mr J. R. Laidlaw was a passenger by this morning’s express on his way to Wellington. At the meeting of the Otago Hospital Board last night the appointment of Dr Roland Fulton as senior assistant surgeon in place of Mr J. A. Jenkins was approved. Mr S. D- Macpherson left for Wellington this morning. Mr Murray Sidey left by the express this morning on his way to Wellington. Dr P. S. Foster, of Christchurch, has been appointed a member of the Medical Council. A ‘ Gazette ’ issued last night reports that Squadron-leader E. 6. Olson has been appointed temporary officer commanding the Royal New Zealand Air Force Station at Wigram. The Rev. K. D. Andrews-Baxter, who is taking charge of AU Saints’ parish during the absence of Archdeacon Whitehead in England, will commence his ministry on Sunday night by preaching at evensong. Mr and Mrs K. D. Andrews-Baxter will go into residence at All Saints vicarage on March 1. Lieutenant-colonel G. B. Parkinson, R.N.Z.A., officer commanding RoyalNew; Zealand Artillery, arrived by air yesterday afternoon and proceeded to Sutton where he inspected the ‘camps of the 10th and 14th Batteries. Reference to the death of Mr J. M.Sutherland was made by the president ‘ (Mr B. S. Irwin) of the Forbury Park Trotting Club at a meeting last night.. Mr Sutherland was one of the oldest' members, said Mr Irwin, being an active worker when the club held its meetings at Tahuna. A motion of sympathy was carried. A motion of sympathy with Mr A'.Clark on the death of his mother was passed at the monthly meeting of the Committee of the Forbury Park Trotting Club last night. Mr A. W. Mulligan, private secretary to Mr Langstone, Minister of Lands, has been appointed general secretary to the centennial branch of the Department of Internal Affairs.— Press Association. Dr F.
