THE MILK SUPPLY.
TO TUB EDITOR. Sir, —I would like to denounce pasteurised milk. Why should everyone be forced to take pasteurised milk? I am certain that, were inspectors more particular, there would be no need for pasteurised milk. When pasteurised it is dead matter. Why should a nourishing food for people be made so useless, besides costly administration ? Why should not the dairy farmer get a decent price from the vendors, as the consumer has to pay enough ? There would be much more milk used could the price be reasonable. I understand there are only a few agitating for pasteurisation. I am sure that tuberculosis is spread through people’s own carelessness more than through milk.—l am, etc., February 24. Fresh Milk,
