NEW MARINE SUPERINTENDENT
CAPTAIN TETHER’S APPOINTMENT [Pee United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, February 13. Many eyentful experiences in his 27 ydars at sea name the way of Captain F. E. Tether, who arrived in Auckland on Saturday in the Rangitiki from England to take over the duties of marine superintendent of the New Zealand Shipping Company Ltd. in the Dominion, which were carried out by the late Captain Wybrants Olphert. Captain Tether, who will reside in Wellington, where he will be joined in July by his wife and family, was appointed some weeks ago to the position of assistant marine superintendent to Captain Olphert, whose death later took place on January 7. * Captain Tether was until recently chief officer of the Remuera.
