REGULAR AND TERRITORIAL ARMIES INCREASES OVER LAST YEAR (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, February 11. In the course of a speech at Devonport Mr Hore-Belisha said that in 12 months the Regular Army had taken over 3,600 more recruits than the previous year, and in the same period the Territorial Army had added: the equivalent' of a whole division to its strength. The applicants were, in fact, almost out-running the capacity to put up buildings to accommodate them. The defences or every one of the home naval ports were manned by Territorials. The War Office to-night announced that 3,116 recruits were enlisted in the Territorial Army during January, which constituted another tccord month for Territorial recruiting.
