A long standing world sack race record was broken in a special event'at the Wellington Athletic Centre’s electric light sports 'meeting last night by Alex Hill, who covered: 75 yards in 10 l-10sec which is better by 7,10 of a second than the 1901 figures of R. Mercer, of Rochester, who covered 10Q yards in 13 3-ssec. Thep revious record, 14 l-ssec was established by J. A. Finn, (Brooklyn, New York, in 1929. At the same meeting A. L. Fitch, the coach, ran 120 yards '• unpaced iu 11 2-ssec.
