MYSTERY PLANES
DARWIN REPORT DISCOUNTED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright DARWIN, February 14. (Received- February 14, at 1 p.m.) The Administrator, Mr Abbot, in a special report to the Air Board, definitely discounts the story that “ mystery planes ” flew over Darwin. His opinion is shared by the commander of the coast defences and the district naval officer. [A previous message 'stated: Unidentified aeroplanes have flown over Darwin twice within the last week, and the avaition authorities are puzzled about their origin and destination. All the movements of machines in the territory have been checked, and the strange planes cannot be accounted for.]
