i (From Our Oamaru Correspondent.) 1 CRICKET. Perfect weather prevailed for Saturday’s cricket, Oamaru securing a win over Union on the first innings. In the first day’s play Union compiled 103 runs, and Oamaru had lost three wickets for 31. Oamaru carried its total to 122 runs, and dismissed Union for 101 runs in the second innings and had lost two wickets for 43 runs at stumps. —Albion v. School.— This match went to Albion by default on the first day, but a one-innings match was played on Saturday, School winning by 17 runs. School (replied .with 191 runs to Albion’s 174, Houghton being top scorer with 94 not out. i LAWN TENNIS, ' T ;—Meadowbank v, Waimate.— ; ' Waimate secured' a substantial win 1 over Meadowbank at Meadowbank on Saturday afternoon, tfce visiting men being successful in both singles and doubles, while three of the mixed doubles also went to Waimate. The last match of the championship series was fired on the Federal range on Saturday. The match was won by Rifleman G. Allan with a score of 95. Vice-President H. Koppert and Rifleman R. Orbell were top scorers at 300 yards with 47’s. President R. Smith and Rifleman A. G. Allan being top scorers at 600 yards with two -16’s. The

championship has now been decided, and resulted in a win for Rifleman W. Gibson by a narrow margin from Vicepresident H. Koppert. Rifleman I. Bteenson was third. The annual bowling match between the North Otago and Dunedin Centres Was played on Saturday afteVnoon at the Phoenix old green under bright, sunny conditions, with the green very keen and in capital order.
