(Received February 12, at 11 a.m.) Reasons for the King’s decision to abandon, on general and financial grounds, the project for paying a visit to India next winter are fully understood here, and caused no surprise, ‘ The Times ’ says: The outlook for a visit might be brighter a few months hence, but it is necessary to take a decision now, and His Majesty had in mind the loss and inconvenience which would result fjom any change of plans after preparations had begun.
