BOROTRA’S AMATEUR STATUS
POINT UNDER CONSIDERATION PARIS, February 10. (Received February 11, at 11 a.m.) Borotra’s amateur status is called in question owing to his acceptance of the PHx Douine, worth 30,000 francs, awarded by the Acadamie of Sports. Borotra handed over the prize as a gift to the French Lawn Tennis Federation, but the sporting paper ‘ L’Auto ’ points out that a resolution of the Olympic Committee deprives amateurs of their status if they accept such prizes. *
