CURRY REMANDED TO OAMARU A HAINTEUANGE COMPLAINT An application for an affiliation order, against Wilfred Richard John Curry, who was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment on an attempted murder charge on Wednesday, was heard by Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M., in the Police Court to-day. Chief-detective Young said defendant was arrested on a warrant issued at Oamaru. Curry was interviewed by Detective-sergeant Le Sueur, and made a statement which would be important evidence in the case. Mr Swindley, -who appeared for the girl, asked that defendant be remanded to appear at Oamaru on Tuesday next. In reply to the magistrate, Curry, admitted paternity of the child. Mr Young; 1 was not aware that ha would admit it. After Curry gave evidence, the magistrate granted the remand, it being stated that the case could be heard at Oamaru wheu defendant was en route to Paparua prison.
