LOCAL BEACHES IN 6000 CONDITION Week-end surfing prospects are good, and local beaches are all ■. reported to be in excellent condition. The water is mild, while seas are moderate. Car* must naturally be exercised, however, and bathers are warned against venturing outside, areas not marked by th* red flags. > The St. Clair Beach is in good order, although there is a large hole about 100yds off the shore. The St. Kilda Beach is at its best, the recent strong backwash having disappeared. Tomahawk also is in good order, but the warning against bathing'outside the flags is particularly applicable to this beach. ’
