DENMARK.—The Storstroemsbridge, the longest bridge in Europe, was opened recently by King Christian X. Spanning nearly two miles of the water, between the Zeeland and Falster islands, it carries both rail, and motor traffic.
ABYSSINIA.—A native village which has been re-erected in an orderly manner under Italian direction. In spite of their every effort to introduce,-modern conditions, the Italians are experiencing considerable difficulty in ruling these people. Sporadic revolts are proving costly and troublesome.
