LILY STEVENS'S RECITAL

Final arrangements are well in hand for the sparkling entertainment which Miss Lily Stevens’s pupils will present at His Majesty’s Theatre next Saturday afternoon and evening. Tiny tots to older pupils have been drilled to perfection to provide some very novel scenes. The first half of the programme will feature ‘ Old King Cole,’ with its elaborate mounting. Song, dance, and story have been interwoven in ‘La Lecon de Geographie ’ (the geography lesson), and this presentation will occupy the stage during the second half of the recital. The song and dance scena ‘ Serenade_ in the Night ’ promises to be a highlight. Mr James M'Farlane, the well-known vocalist, will assist in this scene. The grand finale should alone be worth witnessing, as all the pupils will appear in a most fitting conclusion to what should be an outstanding bill of fare.
