Although the beach is in much better condition, bathers are still warned to keep between the flags. ,• St. Kilda beach is not in quite such good order as was the case last week, and bathers should swim between the flags as there is a fair undertow, and one ov two holes fairly close_ in-shore. The beach at Brightonls in excellent order, and invariably is one of .the safest beaches near to Dunedin. Tomahawk, too, is also in good condition for bathing, the sea being smooth, the water mild, and fhe beach safe as long as bathers keep within the safety zone. Motor cars are permitted on the beach as far as the red flag, but drivers are urged not to go beyond that point because if they do they are liable to get into difficulties m the soft sand.
