FALL OVER CLIFF. James Fullerton Ritchie, aged 53, w£s killed by falling over a cliff on his farm, Bedford road, Inglewood (New: Plymouth district), yesterday.mornings His body was found at the foot of the cliff by his wife. The body, badly battered, was lying on the Ritchie told his wife that he was going to see a neighbour. Later she found his spectacles in the house, and, knowing that his sight was very poor without; glasses, she set out in search of him, only to make the discovery .at the foot of the cliff. Ritchie was a well-known golfer, and had been the Taranaki amateur champion. DEAD IN GAS-FILLED ROOM. A resident of Otahuhu (Auckland), Francis Duane, aged 49, was found dead in the living room of his residence at Great South road yesterday. The room was full of gas, which had escaped from a cooking ring, near which he was lying. Duane, who has been aninvalid for about 15 years, leaves a wife and family. ELDERLY WOMAN INJURED. An elderly woman, Jane Hamilton, who resides at 100 Gordon road, Mosgiel, was admitted to the Hospital a-fc 8.30 last night suffering from injuriesto her left hip, the result of a fall at her home. ACCIDENT WITH FIREWORKS. Burns to the body were hjl a young boy, Hector Fraser, who lives at 86 Cargill street, when setting off fireworks last night. He was admitted to the Hospital at 10.30 p.m. FOUND ON ROAD. Suffering from concussion and facial injuries, John James Kelly, a young man, who lives at Tomahawk, was found lying on the Tomahawk road last night with his bicycle beside him. ¥* was admitted to the Hospital at It o’clock, but it was not known hoii the mishap had occurred. The injure! man was conscious this morning, bin no particulars of the accident were on tainahle. FATAL KICK FROM HORSE. As the result of being kicked in th'N chest by a horse on his father’s ffirmj at Poroutawhao last evening, a boy, Brian George Kilsby (13) was killed instantly.
