MISS A. WINKEL’S PUPILS
TO FEATURE IN ENTERTAINMENT If for no other reason than to again enjoy a performance of the action chorus, ‘ The Blue Danube,’ which was the first prize winner at the Dunedin Competitions Society’s recent festival, many will wish to be present at either the matinee or evening presentation to be given by‘Miss Anita Win’kel’s choir in the Town Hall Concert Chamber tomorrow. ‘ The Blue Danube,’ however, will be only one of the many attractive items on the programme selected for the entertainment, which will provide the public with the opportunity of ascertaining the progress the principal’s 60 odd pupils have made since the last recital.
The children who will take part in the entertainment range in age from three to 35 years, and will be heard in special solo, duo, and trio numbers, in addition to atmospheric scenas, while at night the members attending the adult classes will appear in the highly amusing half-hour play by Arthur Pinero, ‘ The Playgoers.’ Miss Edna fnmgley will be the accompanist. The box plan is on view at the D.I.C.
