COMMITTEE’S INQUIRY NEARLY COMPLETE [Per United Peess Association.] WELLINGTON, November 4. The committee appointed by the Minister of Health (Hon. P. Fraser) to inquire into the maternity services of the Dominion has been hearing evidence for the past three days. On Tuesday the committee inspected the facilities for maternity services in the Hutt Valley, having previously inspected those in Wellington city. This afternoon was devoted to an inspection of the work of the Plunket Society. Dr D. G. M'Millan, M.P., chairman of the committee, said to-day that the committee’s tour of inspection of the Dominion, which was begun in March, had now been completed, and the committee was well on the way toward the completion of its report, which it was hoped to have in the hands of the Minister early next month.
