CHRISTIAN COMMUNISM.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The main objection to Communism by the Christian church has been that it is anti-Christian. To Christian Communism there should, therefore, be no objection, if the church is consistent. The building up of a standard of social justice, the abolition of poverty, and the constitution of an abundant life for all can. hardly be objected to De any claiming to be Christians. II the church does object to the uplift to higher standards of working people it should cease to call itself Christian. Communism has more right to bo called Christian than a church which amasses wealth and works for political power. T trust that your sense of fair play will prompt you to pubish this protest against attacks on Communism either from the pulpit or elsewhere.—l am, G. A. Herring. November 2.
