ELECTRICITY IN BRITAIN
INCREASE IN DOMESTIC CONSUMPTION (British Official Wireless.) Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, August 21. There are now well over 7,000,000 domestic consumers of electricity in Britain, according to a survey published by the ‘ Journal of Electrical Trading.’’ This represents a great increase, and the survey reveals the wide range of domestic use to which. electricity is now put, including cookers, water heaters, and wash, boilers. More than 20 per cent, of domestic consumers receive an electricity supply oil the two-part tariff system, which means the current is being used for purposes additional to lighting.
