Interesting details ot the unprecedented passenger traffic dealt_ with by London’s underground railways during Coronation week are given in a souvenir brochure issued by the Transport Board. Daring the week ended May I*s, 20,000,000 _ passenger journeys were made, and it is estimated that over 60 per cent, of the travellers were visitors from the provinces and overseas.
