(Received August 10, at 10 a.m.) Six Republican members of the House Banking and Currency Committee have issued a statement demanding that gold stocks totalling 12,470.000,000d0l should be applied to reduction of the national debt. The statement declared that these stocks servo no useful purpose, but help foreign countries without benefiting the United States.
