NORTH OTAGO RUGBY UNION
MANAGEHENT COMMITTEE MEETS The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the North Otago Rugby Union was held last night, Mr G. Knowles presiding. Others present were Messrs D. Burns, A. Low, C. Wylde Browne, L. Ward, J. Hopley, R. Watson, B. Turner, M. F. Woodwardl. The Maheno Club was granted permission to travel to Pembroke to play Wanaka on August 28. The Athletic Club applied for permission to play the third grade match, Athletic v. Southern, on August 14, the match, being unplayed during the earlier round. Application was also made to play the fourth grade match, Athletic A and B.—Granted. The following regradings were granted :—Athletic, third to fourth grade—J. Turvey, G. Dunn, F. Dunlop, K. Smith. C. Barsdell was granted a transfer from the Athletic to the Old Boys’ Club. Messrs B Turner ami R. Watson were appointed respective managers of the representative senior and junior teams to meet the Timaru representatives on Saturday. The tenders of Messrs A.
