SATURDAY'S WRESTLING

Dunedin wrestling enthusiasts who were disappointed at not seeing (Norman (“llusty”) Wescoatt last week, when he was unable to appear, will have the pleasure of seeing him in action against the fast and aggressive Floyd Marshall on Saturday night. Wescoatt is a young and powerful wrestler, who has met with great success in. Australia, and opened his New Zealand campaign very successfully by holding Eari M'Cready to a draw. Wescoatt is an expert swimmer as well as a wrestler, and although unable, through injury, to compete in the Olympic Games, ho holds several records. Since turning to professional wrestling he has met with equal success, and held Dean Detton to a two-hour draw immediately prior toDettqn’s winning the world’s heavy-weight title. Weseoatt is an expeid flying tackier and drop-kick, and can be aggressive when the occasion warrants it. His weight is about the same as that of Floyd Marshall, and these two men should provide one of the most spectacular matches yet seen in the local ring. Marshall was well on the way to defeating M'Cready in Christchurch when a penalty fall was awarded against him, Ids over-anxiousness to win apparently costing him the match. Marshall is one of the very few men who have been able to withstand the Indian deathlock, and bis all-round ability and previous performances in the Dunedin ring have made him a very popular figure. Further particulars are advertised.
