PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE MEETS Tho Otago Provincial Council of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union met today, Mr R. H. Michelle presiding. CONGRATULATIONS. Congratulations were extended to Mrs J. F. Drake and the Hon. I. Waite' upon their appointment respec ; tively as Dominion president of the Women’s Division of the Union anti Dominion vice-president of the Union. GROUP REPRESENTATIVE. It was decided to call a group meeting (covering the Otago and North Otagfo district) to appoint a representative on the Dominion executive. STANDING COMMITTEES. The following committees* were appointed : Organising. Messrs Stuart Sim (chairman). R. J. E. Smith, R. H. Michelle, T. Stockdill, A. Renton, R. S. Thompson, F. Waite, and A. U. Cameron. Emergency.—Messrs Michelle, W. Lee. Waite, S. Sim, A. Renton, Cameron, and Thompson. Finance.—Messrs Smith, Michelle, Sim. John Clarke, and Cameron.
