RADIO DEATH BEAM
BRITISH PROFESSOR'S DISCOVERY STARTLING CLAIMS ADVANCED Press Association—By Telegraph —Copyright LONDON, August 8. (Received August 9, at 11 a.m.) Another claimant of an invention to nullify air raids is Professor Anthony, the holder of many science degrees, who, in the newspaper ‘ People,’ says he has discovered that every substance has its own wave-length on which it is possible to transmit. All living creatures in the path of the radio death beam would perish. Electrical equipment can be disabled, aeroplanes prevented from taking "off or brought down, crops ruined and disease spread. Every wireless station could bo converted to such uses. He claims finally that enemy transmissions by similar methods could be rendered futile.
