Hugill, and is taking the portfolio himself. This is tho fourth Minister who has been dismissed in two years. Calgary Brokers Ltd., tho largest firm of its kind in Alberta, announces that it is dosing down, predicting business stagnation as the result of the Aherhart. legislation. Fifty employees have been dismissed. The Legislature has adopted tho Bankers’ Control Bill, demanding that they be licensed by August 27, when the House will he prorogued. Bankers will delay doing so pending tho probability of Ottawa disallowing tho Act. A message from Ottawa says the Prime Minister (Mr Mackenzie King) declared; ‘‘When the legislation reaches the capital wo will consider what action to lake.”.
