4ZM DANCE
On Thursday night 4ZM is holding its annual dance as a “ back to childhood ” function, the object being to help to raise funds to send the Otago women’s basketball team to Auckland. Every effort is being made to ensure the success of the dance. The music will bo supplied by the Mayfair Dance Band, and Mr James MacFarlane will contribute songs. The orchestra, the members of which will appear in. the uniforms of the Otago players, have challenged tho team to a game of basketball of two five-minute spells. Flashlight photographs will be taken, and the ninth heat of the Australian and l New Zealand dancing championship will be hold. An exhibition of dancing will bo given by the previous heat winners, and the circle will be open to spectators at a small charge. There will be prizes for the best costumes. Late buses will leave the Town Hall after the dance for the suburbs and for Port Chalmers ml Mosgiel. Intending patrons are asked to listen m on Tuesday night at 7.30 to a ta.k by members of the Otago women’s basketball team.
