THE LOCAL CLUB
The next event of interest to cyclists is the week-end run to Roxburgh, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 21 and 22. These runs have proved popular in the past, and were only dropped during tho depression years on account of the cost involved. Special concession rates are being applied for, and anyone wanting a cheap week end, this is the ideal way to spend it. The motor cycle group of the Otago Regiment also intends making the same trip on that week-end, so there should be plenty of fun during the trip. _ All members who intend making the journey should attend the meeting on the 17th inst. so that an idea of how many will be going may he obtained. If this run proves popular—and ac-
cording to the number who have already signified their intention of going, it will—there is every likelihood of more of them being organised during tho summer months.
