LEGAL NOTICES. EXTENSION OF PRIVATE HOTELS AWARD TO UNSPECIFIED PARTIES. TVfOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the JLxl Court-, of Arbitration lias, as from the 9th clav of AUGUST, 1937, extended the PRIVATE HOTELS EMPLOYEES AWARD, dated 23rd December, 1936, so as to join and bind as parties thereto all industrial unions, industrial associations, and employers not already bound thereby or parties thereto but connected with or engaged m tho industry to which the award applies in tho area covered by the award; but excluding any industrial union, industrial association, or employer covered by any other existing award or industrial agreement in so far as such award or industrial agreement relates to work covered by the award. Any such union, association, or employer may, within one month after the firstmentioned date, apply through mo to the Court of Arbitration for total or partial exemption from the said award, but such union, association, or employer will require to conform to tho said award pending the decision of the court. A copy of the award may be seen at the nearest office of the Department of Labour. Dated at Wellington this sth day of August, 1937. C. MASON, Clerk of Awards. DUNEDIN CITY EMPOWERING. Notice is hereby given that it is tho intention of the Dunedin City Council to INTRODUCE at the next session of Parliament the DUNEDIN CITY EMPOWERING BILL. The object intended to be effected by the Bill is to enable the Dunedin City Council to make such by-laws as it thinks fit in the interests of patients in the Dunedin Hospital for the purpose of regulating, controlling, or prohibiting the use of vehicles of any kind between the hours of 8 p.m. of every day and 6 a.m. on the following day in those parts of King street and Cumberland street, Dunedin, situated betweeu Frederick and Hanover, streets; and to provide that any such by-law shall not apply to persons residing in such parts of King street and Cumberland street as aforesaid, or shall apply only to such extent and in such manner as’ the Council thinks fit.
