PRINCESS PLAYS GULF
When, the Princess Royal visited her dressmaker recently she chose a trim S .hng outfit of blue flecked tweed skirt worn with turquoise suede jacket and a little brimmed hat to match (says an English paper). The Princess has only just taken up golf, telling a friend she did so because her two schoolboy sons had become very keen, so she wants “ to be able to give the boys a game when they are home during the holidays —characteristic of the comradeship that exists between the Princess and her children. A little putting green has been laid in the grounds of Harowood House, and here the Princess now practises her strokes. She is proving quite a good player, probably because she so enjoys any pursuit connected with the open air. Her lovely gardens at Harewood afford her the greatest delight, and she is alwavs considering improvements for them". She recently bought a new carved seat for her rosary—a long terrace with fine views over the park ho the river. Her love of gardens and gardening is shared by most members of the Royal Family.
