THE INTER-CAPITAL SCHEME RUMOURS IN AMERICA. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright MONTREAL, August 6. (Received August 7, at 12.5 p.m.) The belief prevails in banking circles that Pan-Americau Airways are one or the principal backers of the Australian intercapital scheme, “ in order to provide a domestic link-up with the Pacmc service.” The Australian Associated Press learns that similar rumours have been current in aviation circles on the Pacific coast for some time. The principal officials of Pan-American Airways refuse to comment, but the New York office said it was without confirmation. The National City Bank oategonealiy denied any connection, financial or otherwise, with the enterprise.
