MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of committee held yesterday was attended by Messrs A. C. Hanlon (chair), L. C. Hazlett, B. S. Irwin, J. A. Mathewson,, W. .Garrett, L. J. Potter, J. A. Coot, and Dr Batchelor. : The following appointments were made for the year Honorary treasurer, Mr P. Tyson; honorary surgeons —Drs T. Fergus, A. A. Reid, E. R. Sarty, I. Speeding, 0. M. Greenslade, X C. Speight, J. Fulton; veterinary •surgeon, Mr W. Pierson; clerk of course', Mr F. Kydd; clerk of scales and timekeeper, Mr W. F. Dunne; starter, Mr C. Gieseler; judge, Mr A. O. Wellwood. The following sub-com-mittees were appointed:—Works— Messrs Draper, Smith, Irwin, and Potter; Track—Messrs Hazlett, Smith, and Potter; Finance—Messrs Cook, Irwin, Garrett, and Dr Batchelor; Programme —Messrs Smith, Irwin, Potter. Draper, and Dr Batchelor; Band and : Catering—Messrs Goughian, Edmond, 'and Dr Ross. The matter of a programme for the spring meeting was referred to, the Programme Committee to draw up a programme with liberty to increase stakes to an amount not exceeding £3,000. Authority was given for certain necessary works at Wingatui. Two new members were elected.
