TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHTS

The American Clipper 111. left Southampton this morning for Foynes (Ireland), in readiness for the return crossing of the Atlantic. The Cambria is expected to make the return crossing to England simultaneously. DAYLIGHT CROSSINGS FAVOURED. LONDON, August 4. (Received August 5, at V 2.5 p.m.) An Atlantic passenger service, allowing breakfast in Europe and supper in America, is foreshadowed by the first all-daylight crossing to be made by th« Pan-American Airways Clipper from Foynes to Newfoundland on August 6, starting at dawn. All previous Bights have been at night, but Imperial Airways and Pan-American Airways agree that passengers prefer a daylight crossing.
