LIVING BRIDGE CARDS
Contract bridge played with living cards was a novel feature at a big charity ball recently held in Melbourne. Dressed in costumes representing a pack of cards, the dancers advanced on to the floor and performed a stately minuet, _ after which they broke into waltz time, shuffled themselves, and finally formed into the four selected problem hands around the room, with their red-patterned backs to the centre of the floor. As each card was played on the stage, _ the living “ card ” danced to the middle, and then, as the trick was completed, danced to the winning hand.
